The students of government PU colleges had the provision of studying for free. With this announcement, the students will now have to spend at least Rs 18,000 for a 30-day coaching programme at private institutes.,Earlier, the Department of Pre-University Education had planned a 30-day residential crash course for science students.

The aim was to help them prepare for entrance exams like CET. The department wanted to select interested students and conduct classes in one school in each district.
However, due to some reasons (undisclosed), the plan did not move forward.
