DU college hosts International conference on education policy - The Tribune

The Kamala Nehru College, under the University of Delhi, organised a two-day international conference on “Leveraging the National Education Policy-2020 towards Viksit Bharat”, bringing together academicians, policymakers and global experts to deliberate on the future of education in India.

The conference was inaugurated in the presence of chief guest BR Shankaranand, along with guests of honour Manoj Prasad and Devendra Kumar. Delivering the keynote address, Priyankar Upadhyaya emphasised education as a key tool to address global challenges like inequality and climate crisis, while advocating for a balance between technology and human-centric learning.

Principal Pavitra Bhardwaj highlighted the role of educators in fostering innovation, inclusivity and lifelong learning under the policy’s framework. Speakers across four plenary sessions discussed themes including multidisciplinary education, employability, research and curriculum reforms.

The event saw participation from international scholars across institutions in Australia, Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka and Nepal, with over 60 research paper presentations across 14 sessions.
