“To our valued patrons of Palace Multiplex, serving Montego Bay and environs. It is with a sad and heavy heart that we have come to say goodbye. Like many businesses in that city, our treasured Palace Multiplex was ravaged by Hurricane Melissa in October 2025.

Amidst the shock and pain of it all, we struggled to pick through the rubble, hoping for the best but eventually had to grapple with the reality that nothing was salvageable, it was all gone,” the company said in a statement posted on its Instagram account.

The company said after months of careful discussion and analysis, it has now faced the reality that it cannot turn the lights back on at the location.

Palace expressed gratitude to its customers for their love and support over the years.

“As with all our locations, Palace Multiplex holds a special place in our hearts. Montego Bay became a second home for us from the day we began construction, eventually opening our doors to an appreciative and adoring public in December 2001. Now, more than two decades later, we can truly say that it was our pleasure to have brought you the best of cinema, and we thank you profoundly for the love and support you have shown us over these many years,” the company added.
