Sick cat found with something strange in his stomach

A poorly cat was rushed to the vet and an X-ray revealed something very strange in his stomach. Blueberry had been off his food and vomiting, which are worrying signs for any pet owner. His worried owners brought him into Mobivet South Wales, based in Bridgend , where the unusual discovery was made.

An abdominal X-ray showed strange shadows in Blueberry's stomach which baffled medics and required further investigation. To everyone's surprise a "mass of hair bobbles" was found. The clinic wrote: ”

There were so many that they couldn’t be safely removed using the endoscope alone. "

Knowing what was best for Blueberry the team made the decision to proceed with an exploratory laparotomy. During surgery a huge number of hair bobbles were carefully removed from his stomach... far more than anyone expected!"
