This is actually 'breaking news,' as it's happening as I'm writing it. But it's so much the same old song and dance routine we seen a million times before that it's hardly worth a screaming headline. Everyone will just yawn and ask, 'Yeah, and?'

I could have cut and pasted this a hundred times over already with these Islamic lunatics. But anyway, to today's episode in 'Trying to Talk to Mullahs,' all I can figure is that the turban-wrapped fanatics must have been in the head during the part Saturday where Trump said they had '48 hours' and he wasn't talking about Eddie Murphy.

What to watch: A source with direct knowledge said the the mediators are highly concerned that the Iranian retaliation for a U.S.-Israeli strike on the country's energy infrastructure would be destructive for Gulf countries' oil and water facilities.

The mediators told the Iranian officials there is no time for further negotiation tactics and stressed the next 48 hours are the last opportunity for them to reach a deal and prevent massive destruction for the country.

The Iranian officials, at least in public, are still taking an extremely hard line and rejecting any concessions. The IRGC navy said Sunday the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will "never return" to what it was before the war, especially for the U.S. and Israel.
