Rural Alberta towns turn to non-profits to save medical services
Since Hinton declared a health care crisis in June 2024, the municipality has put $1 million towards the provincial responsibility of medical services, which local leaders say is working to stablize the clinic and attract doctors to the rural Alberta town.
