Leon Bailey and Bobby Reid return to Reggae Boyz team for game vs DR Congo

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The coaching staff of the Jamaica senior men’s football team, the Reggae Boyz, have made three changes to the starting team to face the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in their crucial FIFA Inter-continental play-off final at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara, Mexico on Tuesday.

Leon Bailey and Bobby Reid return to Reggae Boyz team for game vs DR Congo

Leon Bailey and Bobby DeCordova-Reid, who came off the bench in their 1-0 win over New Caledonia on Thursday, as well as Kasey Palmer, were named in the starting team.

They replaced Karoy Anderson, Andre Brooks and Ephron Mason-Clarke, who dropped to the bench.

After failing to qualify directly from their Concacaf final round, finishing second in the group to Curacao, this game is the Reggae Boyz’ final hope of returning to the World Cup for the first time since France 1998.

Bailey-Tye Cadamarteri, who scored against New Caledonia, will start along with Ronaldo Webster.

Starting team:

Andre Blake, Ethan Pinnock, Richard King, Leon Bailey, Kasey Palmer, Bailey-Tye Cadamarteri, Bobby DeCordova-Reid, Tyreece Campbell, Isaac Hayden, Joel Latibeaudiere and Ronaldo Webster.
