At least 10 U.S. service members were wounded Friday in an Iranian missile and drone attack on a military base in Saudi Arabia that also damaged several American aircraft, according to two U.S. officials familiar with the situation.
The attack targeted Prince Sultan Air Base, where several U.S. refueling aircraft were damaged, the officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive military matters. One of the officials said two of the wounded troops were in serious condition.

Satellite imagery that appeared to show damage to aircraft at the base circulated online after the attack.
The strike came a day after President Donald Trump said Iran had been “obliterated,” and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that “never in recorded history has a nation’s military been so quickly and so effectively neutralized,” even as Iranian forces continued to target U.S. and allied positions in the region.
U.S. Central Command said earlier Friday that more than 300 U.S. service members have been wounded during the monthlong conflict. Most have since returned to duty, though 30 remain sidelined and 10 are considered seriously wounded.
Prince Sultan Air Base has been targeted previously during the conflict. Army Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, was wounded during a March 1 attack on the base and died several days later. He is among 13 U.S. service members who have been killed since the war began.
