Every week, streaming audiences vote with their remote controls. This past week, three very different stories dominated the charts: a star-studded heist thriller and a hospital drama barreling toward its season finale. Here’s what America watched most.
Taking the No. 1 spot on this week’s U.S. Streaming Charts is Crime 101, which made its streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video on April 1st. The action-packed blockbuster features a star-studded cast including Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth. Viewers are flocking to the film for its high-stakes heist narrative and charismatic performances.
In second place is The Housemaid, starring Sydney Sweeney, Amanda Seyfried, and Brandon Sklenar. It’s available to watch at home via digital rental or purchase on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home. It is also streaming on Starz,
Landing in third place is 28 Days Later: The Bone Temple, the latest installment in the iconic 28 Days franchise.
The film arrived on Netflix this week and has already drawn both longtime fans of the series and newcomers curious about the zombie thriller’s expanding mythology.
Meanwhile, audiences are rushing to theaters for the new Super Mario Bros. movie, but fans are also rediscovering the original. The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) launched to seventh place this week as viewers stream it on Peacock, proving that Nintendo nostalgia remains a powerful draw.
Top TV Shows
On the television side, HBO’s smash hit The Pitt reigns supreme in first place on the U.S. Streaming Charts. The medical drama is building momentum just one week before its season 2 finale airs on April 16th. Fans are binge-watching ahead of what promises to be a climactic conclusion.
Netflix’s new psychological miniseries, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, ranked third this week. Starring Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco, the show has captivated audiences with its tense, slow-burn storytelling. Taking seventh place is The Other Bennet Sister, available to stream in the U.S. on BritBox.
The series proves that audiences are hungry for any and all Jane Austen-based content. Its strong performance comes just ahead of Netflix’s upcoming Pride and Prejudice adaptation, expected later this year. Exclusive Content: JustWatch Interviews the Cast of The Boys
