Prashant Kirad is a well-known educator who teaches science to board students. In a recent LinkedIn post, he says that artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to transform education in ways even more impactful than the internet. While the internet opened the doors to vast information, AI is now changing how students understand, learn, and apply that knowledge.,According to him, “One of the biggest changes AI brings to education is personalised learning."

Earlier, classrooms followed a one-size-fits-all approach, where a single teacher delivered the same syllabus to every student, regardless of their pace or understanding.
"AI is changing this dynamic.. It is capable of following the progress of a student, detecting their strengths and weaknesses, and adjusting the learning process to that.,This means that students no longer need to maintain a specific pace; they will have the chance to learn according to their own interests. In essence, while the classroom remains the same, each student now follows a unique and personalised learning journey.,He further highlighted that a major shift brought by AI is in content creation and feedback.
In the past, teachers had to take hours to prepare questions and explanations and analyse student work. Today, AI technology is capable of performing such tasks in a matter of seconds. They are capable of creating practice questions instantly, explaining them clearly and even displaying instant feedback on how the students are performing.,This not only saves time but also makes the process of learning more interactive.
The students also get instant feedback, which makes them fix their errors faster and allows teachers to dedicate more time to mentorship and less to repetitive work.,He also highlighted the fact that AI is not here to remove teachers but to assist them. It saves precious time by performing repetitive tasks such as grading, formatting notes and developing the simplest practice questions. This enables the educators to have more time in mentoring students, enhancing conceptual clarity, and advising them using more effective learning strategies.,Prashant also says at last that “More than half of today’s learning platforms are already adopting AI, signalling a major shift in education."
The real transformation lies not in technology itself but in moving from standardised teaching to adaptive learning. AI won’t replace teachers, but it will gradually replace outdated systems that treat every student the same.””,(Disclaimer – This article summarises a report by Prashant Kirad.
