Mt Pleasant make five changes for LA Galaxy match

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Mt Pleasant FA have made five changes to the team that was beaten 3-0 in last week’s Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 first leg game against MLS Team LA Galaxy for Thursday’s return leg at the National Stadium.

Clifford Thomas, Fitzroy Cummings, Jahshaun Anglin, Warner Brown and goalkeeper Shaquan Davis will start in the game that they must win by four clear goals if they are to create Jamaican club history and advance to the quarterfinals.

Teenager Jabarie Howell retains his place in the starting team as well as Alex Marshall while Brown, who was a late substitute in Los Angeles, has earned a starting place.

LA Galaxy have meanwhile made three changes to their starting team with regular captain Maya Yoshida returning to the centre of the defense, and Lucas Sanabria and Harbor Miller back in the midfield.

Starting team: Shaquan Davis, Gadail Irving, Fitzroy Cummings, Alex Marshall, Kyle Ming, Jabarie Howell, Jahshaun Anglin, Warner Brown, Raheem Edwards, Clifford Thomas, Demario Phillips.
