Emiliano Martinez could be set for another summer of speculation after it was claimed the Aston Vill a goalkeeper is under consideration by Juventus. That’s according to Italian website Tuttosport , who suggest there is a difference in opinion between general manager Damien Comolli and head coach Luciano Spalletti over how to strengthen Juve’s team next season. The story suggests Comolli wants to invest heavily in a new goalkeeper, while Spalletti is happy with this current options – or at least wants a relatively cut-priced alternative with resources directed elsewhere.

Surprisingly that’s where Martinez’s name has been thrown into the mix. Comolli is said to favour an ambitious move for rising French star Guillaume Restes, who is currently at Toulouse and could cost around €20 million. The 21-year-old is said to be a ‘generational talent’.
Meanwhile Spalletti is said to be ‘satisfied’ with the current three options, starter Mattia Perin, back-up Michele Di Gregorio and Carlo Pinsoglio – who has just signed a new contract. If there is change the report says Spalletti would prefer a replacement who doesn’t have to be ‘waited for’ – which is where Martinez, David De Gea and Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario are all mentioned and said to be 'reliable and affordable'. It is added Martinez would be considered ‘if he doesn't demand a huge salary’.
