President Donald Trump has said France refused to allow planes carrying military supplies to Israel fly over French territory in the latest sign of tension between the U.S. and its European allies over the Iran War.

In a post on Truth Social on Tuesday, Trump wrote: "

The Country of France wouldn’t let planes headed to Israel, loaded up with military supplies, fly over French territory. "

France has been VERY UNHELPFUL with respect to the 'Butcher of Iran' who has been successfully eliminated! The U.S.A. will REMEMBER!!!" France is yet to comment on the claims.

The president's criticism comes a day after it was revealed Spain has closed its airspace to U.S. aircraft involved in the Iran War.

In response, a White House official told Newsweek the United States does not need “help from Spain or anyone else”. A few days ago, Italy blocked several U.S. bombers from landing at the Sigonella base in eastern Sicily. This is a breaking news story.
