San Diego City Councilwoman Marni von Wilpert joined the San Diego Politics Show this week for a wide-ranging discussion as she runs for the CA-48 Congressional District.
CA-48 is one of the most high-profile Congressional races in the country, after voters created a Democratic pick-up opportunity by redistricting the seat by approving Prop. 50 last year.
Von Wilpert talked about how to resolve the Iran War, what actions Congress could take to insulate Americans from the war’s effect on oil prices, and what voters should learn from her role increasing fees on city residents to close a budget deficit.

Darrell Issa decided not to seek reelection once his district was redrawn to be competitive.
