Citing Iranian officials, the network claimed that a 10-point demand from that nation was agreed upon by the president. This was farcical, as it declared Iran would maintain its nuclear enrichment program (something our press told us they did not possess), shut down all bases in the region (uh, sure), and allow them to control the Strait of Hormuz (with what navy???). Any rational person would see this list and laugh.
Lawrence O'Donnell Sees the Sexism In a Rescue Mission, and CNN Is in Knots Over a Peace Deal
Citing Iranian officials, the network claimed that a 10-point demand from that nation was agreed upon by the president.

Trump forcefully shot this prospect down, and the White House reiterated we would be going in to seize control of their nuclear program – you know, the primary reason we went into this country in the first place. CNN, as a result, delivered all manner of interpretation today about what this all meant. First, Iran forced this agreement on Trump, then Trump agreed to something else entirely, even saying there may not be a ceasefire since nothing is written on paper.
Well, keep at it, gang; you are sure to get things correct at some point… Man, @CNN is just all over the map today on the ceasefire news. Instead of getting the facts straight, it seems they will just cover every single angle and eventually find one position is correct. pic.twitter.com/q56h6M0V4L— Brad Slager: CNN+ Lifetime Subscriber (@MartiniShark) April 8, 2026 Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – MS NOW Finding sexism in a troop rescue is just a *chef’s kiss. Lawrence O’Donnell was not content to be happy seeing our military pulling off a daring rescue of a fallen pilot inside enemy territory.
He lashed out at Secretary of War Pete Hegseth for daring to say “We will leave no man behind,” as being sexist. Because, you see, there are females in the military, and as Larry explains it, Hegseth is unaware, “that that could have been a woman they were trying to rescue…” Except, Larry, it was in fact a man, so Hegseth’s comment was factually accurate,
As If Any Of That Woke Blather
MAKES A DAMNED BIT OF DIFFERENCE IN A RESCUE OP! Lawrence O'Donnell is breathlessly offended that Pete Hegseth's statement that "we leave no man behind" is offensive to women."

CNN has been struggling mightily with its Iran coverage. When you approach EVERY news item from the perspective of “Trump is wrong…” you are going to become strung up by reality.
The press - and especially the crew at CNN - have been openly against the conflict, yet when the news came down that Trump agreed to at least a temporary ceasefire, they responded that he backed down in a weak position, as Erin Burnett dropped the Democratic Party line of “TACO - Trump Always Chickens Out”. This is the media lashing out with criticism over what the same media demanded to take place.
So Predictable

We can tell you did not read that article all the way through. On her one-day-a-week broadcast, the $25 million hostess Rachel Maddow was at her trademark best on Monday.
She delivered a segment on the plight of the country’s military vets, based on a report from NPR. She cited the abrupt end of a relief program to aid vets in housing payments, and showed it was burdensome because it left those who accepted the payment relief unaware of the closure of the program, and suddenly, they were instantly responsible for back payments, leading to evictions. President Trump is to blame for this, naturally, but Maddow left off the detail that things first went awry under Biden.
The roots of the crisis go back to a mistake made during the Biden administration, when the VA abruptly shut down a pandemic assistance program while thousands of vets were still in the middle of it. Struggling homeowners who used the program to skip some mortgage payments suddenly had to pay those payments back all at once — an unaffordable burden for many of them. Congress last year brought an end to the relief program without a replacement.
So there is plenty of culpability, but Trump is the only one Maddow can blame. Rachel Maddow makes propaganda with an NPR story on veterans losing their homes under Trump.
She left out the part where NPR explained "
The roots of the crisis go back to a mistake made during the Biden administration..." Because Maddow makes propaganda. https://t.co/6ATT2mDAg7 pic.twitter.com/5Y25HdlLeW— Tim Graham (@TimJGraham) April 7, 2026 Pathological Media Amnesia – ABC NEWS Aged like cottage cheese left in the trunk. Recall the case of Cassidy Hutchinson?
She was the former White House worker who changed her testimony and sat before the January 6 commission in prime time to tell wild stories about President Trump allegedly trying to overpower his security detail and steer the presidential limousine to the Capitol on that fateful day. Most sane people listened to her third-party rumor claims and knew immediately she was weaving fables. Not Jonathan Karl, who raved about Cassidy’s bravery to come forward and was hopeful she would inspire more people to testify after seeing her “tell the truth.”
Cassidy Hutchinson had the courage to do what so many others around her have refused to do — to freely and openly tell the truth.
Will others now have the courage to follow her lead?— Jonathan Karl (@jonkarl) June 28, 2022 So far, Jon has not had much to say after Hutchinson has been cited as a name under investigation by the DOJ for lying to Congress. Reporting On The Mirror – CNN The glamour shots were a divine touch. We don’t want to say too much here, just that CNN’s Dana Bash did a sexy photospread in a profile piece.

As politics grows louder, CNN’s Dana Bash has become one of Washington’s steadiest voices—pressing for answers, rejecting spectacle and reminding viewers that the news, not the performance around it, still matters" 💫@DanaBash
