Statewide recognition for Charlotte County Fire lieutenant

PORT CHARLOTTE — Charlotte County Fire & EMS Lt. Jefferson Mendel was named Florida’s 2025 Career Firefighter of the Year by Florida Chief Financial Officer and State Fire Marshal Blaise Ingoglia, county officials announced.
