ST JAMES, James—The 155th synod of the Anglican Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands on Wednesday elected the Very Rev Colin Reid as the new bishop of Montego Bay.

ST JAMES, James—The 155th synod of the Anglican Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands on Wednesday elected the Very Rev Colin Reid as the new bishop of Montego Bay.

He replaces the Right Rev Leon Golding who was last year elected Bishop of Jamaica and the cayman Islands.
Reid is senior Canon of the cathedral of St Jago de la Vega in Spanish Town.
He is married to Carol with two children.
He received 75 clergy votes and 101 lay votes.
