IGP Rizvi reviews Chand Raat security, traffic arrangements in capital
ISLAMABAD, Mar 20 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi conducted a detailed review of security and traffic arrangements on Chand Raat, visiting various commercial centers and markets in the federal capital.

A public relations officer told APP on Friday that during the visit, the IGP directed officers to remain alert and perform their duties with vigilance and professionalism.

He said that foolproof security arrangements had been finalized across the city for Chand Raat, while a special traffic plan was in place to ensure smooth flow of vehicles on major roads.
The official added that effective parking arrangements had been ensured around markets and shopping centers to facilitate citizens.
He said that female police officers had also been deployed in markets to assist women and families during shopping hours.
IGP Rizvi directed strict legal action against those involved in hooliganism, one-wheeling and aerial firing, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy against elements disturbing public peace.
He reiterated that Islamabad Police remains fully active to ensure protection of life and property of citizens and provide maximum facilitation during Chand Raat.
