#Champs2026: Edwin Allen’s Johnson finally wins 200m steeplechase
KINGSTON, Jamaica —Sushana Johnson finally won the Girls 200m steeplechase gold medal, running 7:00.04 to lead home a gold and silver medal finish for title-chasing Edwin Allen High with Briana Morris second.
Johnson has been contesting the event and was beaten by a record from Hydel High’s Taiefa Gowe last year but rose to the occasion with a big performance this year.
Morris, who finished fifth last year, took the silver medal in 7:52.58 with Chevelle White of Alphansus Davis third in 7:54.7.
