Tax Experts Discuss Rising Gas Prices Amid Iran War During Daily Caller Live Event

Founder and Chairman of Unleash Prosperity, economist Stephen Moore, advised that officials halt the tax for the remainder of Operation Epic Fury. He also advised that regulations regarding blending gasoline and ethanol should be halted as a short-term solution for rising gas prices.

Moore praised President Donald Trump’s “drill baby drill” policy and criticized those who previously advocated for producing no gas and coal.

Republican Texas Rep. Beth Van Duyne pushed back against the “demonizing” of American energy businesses. She argued that America produces energy “cleaner than any other nation.”

“Who’s gouging who?” he asked.

He asserted that government policies ultimately hurt consumers with layers of taxation through energy supply chains.
