Eric Quizon was recently interviewed for his new film titled “One Great Love” last December 4. However, questions posed during the presscon were not limited to the movie or his very own one great love. He also became very candid and honest about answering questions about his late father, the “Comedy King” Dolphy who took his final bow on July 10 of 2012. Dolphy is of course a legend and is well-missed by the world of entertainment and show business industry, as well and more so his very own family as well.
Eric was assigned and entrusted to be the administrator for all the Comedy King’s properties and assets. According to reports by PEP.ph, Eric Quizon sai that “Before that, nag-usap sila ng mommy ko. Pinapagalitan pa nga siya ng mommy ko kasi nga my dad chose me to be the administrator.”
He then added that his mom had told him, “Bakit mo binibigyan ng problema si Eric? Baka mamaya awayin siya…” out of concern and worry, of course. According to Eric, his dad had the mother with great confidence, “Hindi, walang ibang gagawa niyan. Siya lang.”
“So, yung mommy ko, parang sige, ‘Okay, that’s your decision,’ at saka nangako naman ako sa daddy ko, so okey lang. So far, okey kami. Maayos naman lahat ever since. Ngayon siguro, we’re just waiting for the blessings, yung mga biyaya,” Eric further narrated in the press conference.
The Quizons have big lands in Calatagan, Batangas which is now being turned into a subdivision named after the late Comedy King himself, “Dolphyville.” This is one of the few things that is keeping Eric Quizon busy with life. The Dolphyville subdivision will also be the location of a Dolphy Museum by the Quizon Siblings. This however was not part of the original plan as it was intended to be part of a property of the King Of Comedy in Antipolo City.
“We have a project in Calatagan, it’s a subdivision. We’re just waiting for the license to sell. After that, we can sell the property, phase by phase. It’s called Dolphyville in Calatagan. It has five hundred lots so it’s going to be good for the family,” said Eric.
“It’s just taking time but, at least, everyone will be okay, kaya lang medyo matagal, it’s been six years,” he then added.
