Thai sensation, Sitang Buathong a.k.a Mader SItang recently visited the Philippines to meet his Filipino fans. ABS-CBN weekend show, “Rated K,” featured her and her story. She received tons of love at the airport too as soon as she landed. She became popular on social media for her videos where she was seen dancing. Also, she is known for helping typhoon victims in the country.
In a recent news involving Mader Sitang, her International Manager named Wilbert filed a persona non grata against her. According to him, Mader Sitang allegedly asked for a huge amount of money before agreeing to sign a contract.
November 6, 2018, around 9:30 PM (Manila time), Wilbert and other Philippine entourage landed on Thailand. They supposedly had a welcoming dinner as soon as they land. However, Wilbert claimed that Mader Sitang asked for 19.5M baht or 31.3M PHP before signing. When she found out Wilbert did not have any money brought for her, she left them at the airport.
Mader Sitang said she needed 15.3M PHP for a house, office, and mini-warehouse. 10M PHP is for her other expenses.
The next day, Wilbert went straight to the Philippine consul based in Thailand. He declared Mader Sitang as a persona non grata, which will ban her from coming back to the country.
According to PEP.ph, Wilbert spent 30M PHP already for Simply SItang products. These include perfume, hair products, t-shirts, among others.
“Lahat ng kikitain doon ay ibibigay ko sa charity.”
Netizens have reacted to the issue many of them said that they will wait for Sitang Buathong’s statement. Some of them theorized that maybe both parties had an agreement prior to them traveling to Thailand and was not met. Others, on the other hand, said that it’s not wise to invest so much money on a person and that instead, they should invest in a business.
